We’re gathering food donations to prepare Thanksgiving Baskets (meals) for families in need within our congregation and our community. You can donate a turkey, which we’ll keep in the freezer until delivery. Other items you can donate are: potatoes, stuffing, canned vegetables, gravy, pumpkin pies, dinner rolls, etc. You can donate up to and including the morning of Sunday, November 22nd. We’ll prepare the baskets that morning, and make deliveries after the 9:30 service. This is a great outreach to these families, and it is also a very rewarding experience for the deliverers too! All deliverers will be required to wear masks during the deliveries. If you’d like to deliver baskets, please contact Kevin & Sarah Kohlhof 402.540.8514.
Operation Christmas Child is a GO this year! We will supply you with a box and instructions for packing your own shoebox(es).
These shoeboxes, packed with hygiene items, clothing, school supplies, and toys will go to countries where children have likely never received a gift of any kind.  Along with the shoebox, they will hear the gospel and be invited to participate in a 12-week discipleship program.  Hundreds of thousands of children have become Christ-followers through the simple gift of a shoebox!  As one Pastor said, “A child who knows Jesus is like a seed being planted in his or her family and community.”
Pick up a printed box, brochure, and a list of suggested items for packing. Filled shoeboxes can be dropped off here at church, along with a $9 per box donation to cover shipping cost. All shoeboxes must be returned no later than Sunday, November 22. Thank you! Contact Bethany Werner for more info. Click here or on the graphic above to learn more about Operation Christmas Child.

Thanks to the efforts of over 3000 volunteers, King Lake has many happy residents who have been able to return to their rebuilt houses! There are homes that still need finishing up though, such as the house for a Marine who uses a wheelchair for mobility, due to an accident that resulted in the loss of a leg. Another home is to be a special ministry house.
